Business Controls & Compliance Manager

Our client is a reputable Fortune 500 global MNC with a well-established history. It is currently looking for an experienced accounting qualified candidate to be part of its Global Control & Compliance team as a Business Control & Compliance Manager.
This is a hands-on individual contributor role that requires the job holder to travel at approximately 50% globally. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide assurance that appropriate documented business processes are in place and comply with the overall corporate finance policies as well as business practices and procedures. You are expected to conduct periodic business control reviews based on established rolling plan and will participate in the business unit’s risk management process. You will also get the opportunity to support the business’ controllership team in rolling out accounting policies and control processes as agreed from time to time.
Key requirements:
- Recognized Degree in Accountancy or ACCA or its equivalent, with professional accounting qualification such as Chartered Accountant or CPA.
- Must have at least 10 to 12 years of post-graduate relevant experience
- Strong preference for candidates who have prior experience in consumer related and oil & gas industry
- Possesses strong understanding of control processes and systems, coupled with audit & SOX compliance experience
- Willing to travel at 50% to international locations
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- Results oriented and able to work in a team as well as independently
- Strong project management experience
