Data Scientist
Job
• Data mining using state-of-the-art methods
• Discover information hidden in vast amounts of data
• Provide analysis to make smarter decisions, predict future outcome, propose plans for operational improvement
• Enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems
• Processing, cleansing and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis
• Doing ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in a clear manner
• Creating automated anomaly detection systems and constant tracking of its performance
Requirements
• Master / PhD in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Information Technology / Science in Data Science and Analytics / Mathematics / Statistics.
• Preferably 3-5 years of experience working with operational transportation data and engineering system-related data.
• Good scripting and experience in programming skills like R, Java / Python / C++.
• Experience in Hadoop framework and technology.
• Experience in visualization skills like D3.gs, HighCharts will be an added advantage.
• Good applied statistics skills, such as distribution, statistical testing etc.
• Data-orientated personality, innovative, meticulous and able to attend to details.
