As a Senior Accountant, you are responsible for the timely closing of quarterly / annually accounts for both Syndicate and Service Company. Ensure both Syndicate and Service Company is compliance with MAS, IFRS and IRA’s tax rules. To assist and ensure proper technical accounting is well maintained. Such as, booking of SOA, premiums receipts & claims settlement. This will include credit control with the assistance of AU/UA and AA. Besides the above, liaison internally with HO for IBNR reserving, claims processing and reinsurance contracts settlement. 
To assist and ensure the direct reporting entries are all keyed and reconciled that performed by the UA/AU on a monthly basis. To assist in planning on Singapore Service Company budgeting vs actual cost on monthly/quarterly basis. To liaise with London Finance for preparation and establishing local management information reports. To assist in setting up and implementation of finance workflow/procedures and internal controls (both financial and operational) and ensure adherence at all times. Manage and handle both external and internal audit.
To be responsible for the preparation & submission of statutory & regulatory returns to the local statutory & regulatory bodies and ensure that they are delivered within stipulated deadlines and with high quality. This includes MAS returns, Corporate Tax & GST returns and financial statements per Company Act. To deliver this, a good understanding of the Insurance Act and Regulations and all other relevant Acts is essential for ensuring full compliance.
Minimum 5 years of working experience in an insurance field, able to close full sets of accounting book, super MS Excel user, understand premium book in and claim. Team player and good attitude to learn.
