As part of evolving business needs, our client is currently looking for an experienced senior tax professional who is capable of leading its global tax function with overall accountability in tax advisory and compliance matters of the group.
Reporting to the global VP for Finance and being a key member of the finance leadership team, the successful incumbent is expected to provide technical leadership and oversight for the international tax planning function. In the process, you will interact extensively with senior management, corporate functions, respective business units and external tax consultants. You will develop and implement strategies to optimize tax structures and develop tax strategies to support new global business initiatives. You are to co-ordinate with external tax consultants and finance team on tax provisions, ensuring compliance to US GAAP, as well as review tax returns for FIN48 and FAS109 reporting. Other responsibilities include driving Transfer Pricing studies, documentation and audits and ensuring tax controls meet SOX requirements.
Requirements:
•Degree in Accountancy or its equivalent with CPA / CA or advanced taxation qualification
•More than 12 years of relevant tax experience with strong hands-on experience on US tax matters in sizeable MNCs
•Hands-on and takes a practical and structured approach to resolve issues
•Strong team player, capable of maintaining good interpersonal relationships within organisation
•Good verbal and written communication skills with high level of integrity
