System Specialist (SAP Basis) 
About our client:
Our client is a leading MNC company looking to hire a System Specialist (SAP Basis) to join their SAP Technical Team, the role will be based in their Singapore office. 


About the role:
This position is for a System Specialist - SAP BASIS to join the SAP Centre of Expertise (CoE). The SAP CoE is a global team with functional & technical resources in Singapore. . The team is responsible for the support, optimization and full exploitation of the company’s global SAP platform. The SAP Basis System Specialist is the leading source of expertise on SAP technical administration, monitoring and support. The successful candidate needs to demonstrate strong technical skills in the SAP environment acquired through practical experience in support of SAP Basis. Along with day to day support activities, there will be many opportunities to play a key role in major SAP projects.


Responsibilities:
• Ensure the SAP systems operate reliably and efficiently in a secure environment.
• SAP system administration, performance monitoring and technical support.
• Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis and rectification of system faults. This includes self-assignment of fault tickets, exploring SAP Notes and best practices, configuring the system where appropriate and working with the SAP Hosting partner or other IT teams on technical resolutions.
• Liaise with the company’s SAP hosting partner to ensure reliable operation of the SAP systems and coordinate system maintenance activities.
• Set up SAP batch job schedules per requirements defined by SAP CoE functional colleagues.
• Work with SAP CoE functional experts to assist with the functional support of SAP.
• Participate in and lead SAP system projects.
• Expertise in SAP integration with other IT systems.
• Exposure to a wide range of global projects.
• Expertise in managing an outsourced SAP hosting partner.
• 5+ years SAP Basis administration & support experience, across ECC, BI, SCM and GRC platforms. 
• SAP implementation and management skills, including lifecycle management, configuration, and support.
• Ability to take an integrated view of technical problems, spanning different areas of knowledge.
• Strong team-based ethic plus ability to interact effectively with colleagues in a geographically diverse organization.
• Experience of working in a global IT support environment and on global IT projects.
• Potential to take on project and team leadership roles.
• Ambition and drive to develop within the role and within the company’s organization.
• Experience of the following SAP technologies: ECC, SCM, BW, GRC, Content Server, Netweaver Gateway, Fiori, HANA, Single Sign-on, Solution Manager.
• Experience of Redwood Cronacle job scheduling tool and Rev-Trac change management.
• Linux scripting skills.
• Experience of working with outsourced IT hosting partners.
• Experience of the company’s IT security standards.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
