Our client, one of the world’s leading asset managers specializing in development-related sectors of emerging economies. These sectors comprise the areas of finance, agriculture and energy. They provide debt and equity financing to non-listed companies with business models that target the lower-income section of the population and can thus drive economic growth and social progress. They offers professionally managed investment solutions to both institutional and private investors.
Due to our further growth and local supporting needs we are looking for a motivated colleague in the function of Senior Credit Risk Management Officer to be based in Bangkok.
Your main tasks including analysis of credit applications, perform investment criteria checks, and confirm credit ratings, including counterparty, systemic/ market, commodity, country elements and on-going monitoring of credit risk-relevant market and sector developments. Lead or support restructuring or recovery cases, lead or support the development of analytic tools and perform ad hoc analysis and research tasks, as necessary. Review and challenge investment proposal in agriculture debt, advice the investment officer on credit analysis, modelling, projections and the best structuration of deals, lead restructuring and work outs (if any) and approve transactions within certain guideline
 
You are expected to have minimum 8 years in a risk department, credit risk or credit analysis role in the financial sector, with a strong focus on SMEs or corporates along the agriculture value chain in South East Asia. You have proven experience in restructuring or recovery cases in the region, completion of a recognized credit training program or similar professional accreditation. You are a graduate degree in either business, finance or economics with strong writing, Excel and presentation skills. Willing to commit to minimum traveling (25%) of the time. You are highly reliable, flexible and self-reliant personality with good intercultural skills. A good team player with a track record in development investments.  Interest in and enthusiasm for impact investments
