Strategic Procurement Manager

Our client is a highly successful Manufacturing Company with regional operation. As part of their expansion plan in APAC, they like to invite a successful strategic Procurement professional to join their APAC team in Singapore.
You will be responsible for the end to end Chemical procurement (sourcing, contract negotiations, suppliers’ management, contract management) for the Asia Pacific Region. You will be supported by the in country procurement partners. You are also accountable on in ensuring all procurement activities are in compliance with company policies and procedure. You’re also accountable for the overall delivery of the global category strategies in the country and annual country financial target.
To be successful in this position, you will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Chemical. Additional professional certifications, membership (CPM, CIPS) are highly regarded. You need to have had at least 10-12 years of relevant experience in Procurement. Ideally in Raw Material Procurement/Sourcing within the chemical capacity. You possess a proactive and strategic mindset and be able to work in a fast paced environment, project management and communication, relationship management and problem solving skills. Experience in a multifunctional team and global environment is highly desired. It is vital that you come with strong negotiation skills, procurement mindset with sound knowledge in vendor management/contracts. Prior experience working in a highly matrix organization is advantageous.
