Job Description
As the Business Development Director, you will expand its business in Greater China, both within the existing super lux segment and in the newly launched luxury that aims to increase the accessibility of couture. Based in Hong Kong, you will be responsible for developing and executing business strategy, creating a road map for the brand. You will seek partnership opportunities for the brand within the luxury segment and entertainment and media space, to raise visibility and drive premium brand association. You will drive the growth of a new product line aimed at accessibility, working with designers to identify areas of opportunity and in retail and/or franchising, with the aim of developing retail stores and customer experience.
The Successful Applicant
You are a retail specialist in China, with strong understanding of retail and luxury markets across China and Hong Kong. Working experience in the luxury segment will be highly advantageous, as will be an existing network in the events and media industry. You understand Chinese consumers and trends and have a proven track record in growing business and winning deals. Above all, you love fashion and are excited by the opportunity to work with a high growth brand.
The role is based in Hong Kong but requires extensive travel in China, working with partners and suppliers, hence the ability to negotiate and manage business communications in Mandarin will be critical to your success.
