Our client is a well-established MNC in the capital equipment industry.
The Buyer is instrumental in placing purchase orders for assigned vendors or commodities. He / she is responsible for utilizing MRP or other planning strategies and performing all steps in the procurement process with accuracy and care to avoid economic loss and customer dissatisfaction. Price and delivery negotiation, managing supplier relationships and performance are also part of the portfolio.
Ideally, the candidate should come with minimum Diploma with some courses in Supply Chain, and at least 5 years of buying experience in a semiconductor / electronics manufacturing environment. He / she should also be able to read and understand blue prints, and be proficient in MS Excel and experience using an MRP system.
