Our Client is a multi-national company with global presence within the Water monitoring Solutions industry. They are seeking a Business Development Manager to accelerate their growth and expansion plans in Asia Pacific. Reporting directly to Sales Director, you are responsible for developing the Water Quality Monitoring business in Asia through product & systems sales through a variety of distributors & direct selling. You will develop and execute a strategy for the region on how to develop sales growth of above market rate for the Analytics/monitoring surface water products. Grow sales with focus on Water Quality Monitoring products & systems, management of in-direct sales channels and development of direct channels, responsibility for appointment of new sales partners and sales channels where appropriate. VOC (voice of customer) feedback on product requirements and developments to ensure new products to market are correct for defined area, work with the local and global teams to develop solutions for the customer base. External role with a large % of time spent travelling, approximately one week per month. Managing demonstrations with customers to develop end user demand. Liaising with local sales managers in countries where we have a local presence.
Ideally you should have a minimum Bachelor’s degree in a engineering or science field. 3 to 10 years’ experience in Business Development. Experience of working with indirect sales channels – distributors, contractors and consultants. Experience working with a manufacture of instrumentation, liaising and feeding back information and opportunities. Previous experience selling analytical instruments in water market.
