Our client is currently looking for an experienced senior tax professional who is capable of leading its Asia tax function with overall accountability in tax advisory and compliance matters of the Company.
Reporting to the Global VP for Tax, the successful incumbent is expected to provide technical tax leadership and business partnership to Asia’s business. You will develop and implement strategies to optimize tax structures and ensure all tax regulatory requirements and risks are managed effectively. This involves driving tax strategies and implementing tax plans to support business initiatives. In the process, you need to interact extensively with senior management, US corporate tax team and respective business units. You play an instrumental role in providing transfer pricing advice and compiling documentation as required to support activities performed in the region.
Requirements:
• Degree in Accountancy or its equivalent with CPA / CA or advanced taxation qualification
• Approximately 15 years of relevant tax and transfer pricing experience, with some years in a supervisory role
• Possesses solid tax technical background and regional tax experience in Asia (including China)
• A few years spent in a large public accounting firm (e.g. Big 4 firm) will be an added advantage
• Hands-on and takes a practical and structured approach to resolve issues
• Strong team player, capable of maintaining good interpersonal relationships with all levels within an organisation
• Proven track record in managing senior business stakeholders
• Good leadership skills with ability to develop the regional tax team
• Good verbal and written communication skills with high level of integrity
